Component Features

Relational databases, CSV, JSON
Raw data from Relational databases, CSV files of JSON

The component will connect to any database: MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL - using simple script generating CSV output to enable real-time business analysis. Pivot Component is full browser-side component, thus you can use any desired server-side to generate CSV data: ASP, PHP, ASP.NET, JSP, ColdFusion, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript.

You can even use usual static CSV files with exported business data to create a simple business intelligence report to demonstrate the power of Pivot tables and charts.

If you already have your data on the page and simply want to pass them to the component, JSON can be used in this case. The main difference between JSON data source and CSV data source is that CSV data is always loaded by the component. You provide the URL to CSV data and the component starts from loading it. JSON can be passed via API.

Pivot Component allows additional control by providing meta-data to CSV and JSON data. You can define which fields are dates, numbers or compose multilevel hierarchy from several fields for the desired visualization.
