Installing Pivot Table & Charts Component
Installation of Pivot Table and Charts Component requires copying and pasting the component files from the package into any of your folders. Also please see the System Requirements.
Installing the Component for Your Web Application
If you want to use Pivot Table and Charts in your web application, follow the steps below:
- Unzip the package with the component that you received.
- Create a folder in the root of your application. The folder can be named for example flexmonster. It is not mandatory to create it under root folder. However, it organizes things a lot more, as all the pages within your website can now access the component.
- Copy all the files from the package > flexmonster folder and paste them in the created in your application folder.
Installation complete. You are now ready to use Pivot Table & Charts Component in your web application.
Installing the Component on Your Local Machine
If you want to use Pivot Table and Charts on your local machine, follow the steps below:
- Unzip the package with the component that you received.
- Go to the folder where you want to save Pivot Table and Charts.
- Copy all the files from the package and paste them in the folder.
- Allow componen's SWF from your folder run locally.
- Run index.html in your browser.
- If your folder was not previously marked as trusted in Flash Player Security Settings, you will see the following warning: Communication between Flash and JavaScript is not allowed on your local computer. Please use Flash Player Settings Manager (http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager04a.html) to run application in trusted mode.. Follow this link to open Flash Player Settings Manager.
- Add your local folder to the list of always trusted locations (see step by step instructions).
Installation on your local machine complete. Now you can see the component with the sample data by running index.html in your browser.
Next steps will be the following: embedding the component into your HTML page, configuring the data source and customizing the component's visual appearance.
