Drilldown

Jose Antonio Veintimilla asked on February 9, 2018

Good Morning.

Two questions:
How can I predefine the columns that have to be shown or not in the drilldown (flat grid) of a cell selection?

How can I define a type of date format in the definition of columns (slice) and keep the date format in the excel export?

Thank you very much, greetings.

Hello, Jose,
Thank you for writing to us.
The drill-through view shows all hierarchies and measures that are currently selected in the slice. So to predefine the columns that have to be shown in the drill-through, please modify the current slice. Also, the Field List is available for the drill-through pop-up. You can use it for adding or removing fields from the drill-through view without changing the slice for the grid.
Concerning your question about the date format, please have a look at our Date and time formatting tutorial. If dates are selected as columns or rows, your custom date format is the same in the excel export. If dates are selected as measures, they are exported as dates to Excel and are displayed in the default Excel date format.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Regards,
Tanya
