Calculate a column using a grandtotal value

Answered
emi asked on March 13, 2024

I want to calculate a column of percentages based on the grand total of another column. In excel it would be: =L5*100/$K$6 where $k$6 is a grand total. Thank you!

Hello, Emilio!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Kindly note that we have built-in front-end aggregations to calculate percentages. The full list of these aggregations can be found by the link: https://www.flexmonster.com/technical-specifications/#aggregations.
These aggregations have the same calculation logic as the corresponding aggregations in Excel. You can also find all the mentioned aggregations in the Field List by clicking the sigma icon for the measure in Values box.

For the described case, we suggest trying out the percent(of GrandTotal) and percentofrow aggregations. We have prepared a JSFIddle example for illustration: https://jsfiddle.net/flexmonster/qug7s6tw/.

Hope our answer has addressed your question well.

Kind regards,
Solomiia

Hello, Emilio!

Thank you for your response.

Kindly note that in Flexmonster it is not possible to calculate the column based on the grand total value of another column.

Feel free to reach out to us if any other questions arise.

Kind regards,
