Any plans to enhance the calculated field interface to show the measures in groupings?  Also the ability to use report items in a formula to change the calculation to only use specific values in a report item?

Hello, Tom!

Thank you for contacting us.

Could you please explain in more detail the improvements you want to see in our calculated values? Any examples would be a great help in understanding your ideas better.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Regards,
Solomiia

Hi, Solomiia

I can follow up on

Any plans to enhance the calculated field interface to show the measures in groupings?

When users want to create/edit a calculated value, they are given a dialog in which all of the fields are "flattened" out from their respective folders/groupings. For example, in the Flexmonster Demo, when we open "Fields," we can see that there are two measures grouped under Location, namely, City and Country. However, when we go to create a calculated value, the two measures are flattened out such that City and Country are no longer grouped together, rather, they are separated by the Contact * Name measures.

We were wondering if there was an option to turn on folders/grouping so that what users see in the "Fields" dialog is similar, if not identical, to what they see in the "Calculated Value" dialog.

Attached are two screenshots to better visualize the differences.

Please let us know if we can provide any additional information!

Kind regards,
Henry

Hi Henry,

Thank you for the detailed explanation.

Adding the feature of grouping fields in the Calculated Value pop-up sounds reasonable. We have added it to our customers’ wishlist. Our team will notify you in case of any updates on the matter.

You are welcome to write to us in case further questions arise.

Kind regards,
Nadia
