Export to excel DrillDown (flat pivot)

Closed
Jose Antonio Veintimilla asked on February 13, 2018

I am very interested in solving this problem. I tell you: my client uses the drilldown utility a lot. It usually extracts nominal values from the pivot and export them to excel. I am faced with the problem that the export from the drilldown (flat grid) does not respect the formats dates and numbers. The pivotGrid does work well but I need both exports to work. Both the pivot with its result in fat grid format (drilldown).

Is it possible to solve this issue?

PS .: Your control is very good and the client is considering the possibility of acquiring licenses for your product for internal use.

Thank you very much for your patience.

Hello, Jose,
Thank you for writing.
We would like to inform you that number formatting is saved when exporting from the drill down. For example, $1,312.50 in the drill down will be exported to Excel as $1,312.50. Please let me know if number formatting is lost during the export on your side.
As about dates formatting, it is not applied when exporting to Excel. The dates are exported in the default Excel date format. We will add your request to our backlog and inform you when we have any updates.
Please let me know in case of other questions.
Regards,
Tanya

Sorry to insist. I can not make it work. In the control, both in compact pivot mode and in flat pivot mode I respect the date and number formats (I send you screen dump) but when I export it to excel (from the drilldown) I mount an excel sheet where it suppresses the values dates and the numerical formats shows them as text (I send you dump screen).

I send you the json extraction and the pivot object as I have them mounted.
P.S: I have much urgency in resolving this point. We have a presentation of the application with your control included tomorrow, Friday and should solve it today (if possible).

Thank you very much.

Hello good afternoon.

Using one of your examples: http://jsfiddle.net/flexmonster/qxyse7n6/

I have detected the same error that is coming to me when exporting to excel. If you export the pivot (Compact form) the export performs perfectly. Maintains the formats of the numerical values in the excel sheet. But if you double click on any cell and extract the nominal (drilldown) those same columns when exported do not maintain the numerical format (they are aligned to the right but the format established for the column is text).

I'm still finding out things with the date format. I will keep you informed.

Hello good afternoon.

Using one of your examples: http://jsfiddle.net/tc8yosgd/19/

I have detected the same error that is coming to me when exporting to excel. From the pivot if I export to excel the date is exported (without date format) but if I perform a drilldown on a cell the result of the export in excel is with the empty date cells.

This issue we are very interested in having it solved as soon as possible since the final objective of the users that connect to the application, after assembling their pivot table is the export of a final result to excel.

Using other spreadsheet applications (not microsoft excel) I have been able to appreciate that when the values of drilldown are exported to Excel, in the numerical values it includes a simple quote at the beginning of the numerical values. In case it helps you.

Perfect. Thank you very much. The date format already loads it in excel with the established format. Great job.

Now the only problem I have left are the numeric fields. As I mentioned in the last messages.
