Exporting to Excel, using multiple sheets

Answered
Moshe Malin asked on September 24, 2020

Hello,
Can we do something like this:
Assuming I have a table. I want to use one of the columns (colA) as a filter in the following way: For every value in this column, to save a sheet in Excel with this value is the sheet's name, and the content is the other table's data filtered by this value in that colA.
And all is saved into a single Excel file.

Hope I managed to explain what I need 🙂
Is it supported?

Thanks!
Moshe

Hello, Moshe,

Thank you for posting to our forum.

We would like to inform you that our export functionality provides the following logic: all pivot table content that the user sees is exported.

Accordingly, we suggest 2 workarounds for your case:

  1. For every value in the column colA, change the grid view as you want it to be exported (using Flexmonster API calls), and then perform an export.
  2. Another option is creating a pivot table for each colA value and then exporting every table.

Please note that each sheet will be exported to a separate Excel file. For now, Flexmonster does not support exporting multiple sheets to one file.

Please let us know whether the recommended approaches work for you. If they do, please contact us for further details and examples on this matter.

Best regards,
Milena
