How to freeze first columns

Answered
qwalker asked on June 6, 2019

Dear flexmonster team,
We are a paid customer and we liked your product very much. Recently we really miss the 'freeze first column' feature that's available in excel and we'd like to know is there any way to do that in flexmonster.
Can you take this as an feature request and I guess it should be useful for lots of users too.

Thanks.

Hello,

Thank you for writing to us.

We would like to point out that for compact form the first column is "frozen".

Please check out this JSFiddle example for illustration.

Flexmonster's classic form allows for more columns to be "frozen".

Please see this JSFiddle example for illustration.

If using the flat form, only the top header row is "frozen".

Our team agrees that "freezing first column" would be a nice feature to have for flat form.

Although at the moment our roadmap is full, we have added your request to our customer's wish list and we will notify you in case anything changes regarding this feature.

Also, could you please specify which company you represent? We need this information for our records.

You are welcome to contact us in case any questions arise.

Best Regards,
Vera

Hi Vera,
What we want to freeze is the first value column(s), not those hierarchies(dimensions), and this is not possible in any compact or classic or flat view. We have lots of value columns so we have to scroll right to see some columns and at the same time we want to see some left columns so that we don't need to scroll back to left and keep repeating this move.
Thanks again if you can evaluate this feature and squeeze it into a near future release.
I will send an email to tell which customer we are:)
