Apply conditional formatting for separate Metric + Aggregation

Answered
Denis asked on May 19, 2021

Hi support team,

In the pivot I have two metrics (the same metric but with different aggregations: Total sum of price and Total average of price). I would like to apply conditional formatting only for Total sum of price, but formatting applying for both. Is there a way to not apply for the second one?

Thanks for help!

Regards,
Denis

Hello, Denis,

Thank you for posting on our forum.

The easiest way to achieve the desired behavior would be to create an auxiliary calculated value based on the measure and specify different aggregation.

You are welcome to see the JSFiddle we prepared for the reference: https://jsfiddle.net/flexmonster/sLkcv2re/.

Please let us know if it works for your case.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,
Illia

Hello Illia,

Thanks for the solution! But creating calculated field just for applying a conditional formatting is unclear and uncomfortably for user. Is there another way that does not require any actions from user?

Thanks a lot.

Denis

Hello, Denis,

Thank you for your feedback.

Currently, we do not see other workarounds for this that would be convenient for the final user.
Still, we agree that the possibility to specify unique formatting for different aggregations of the same measure would be a nice feature to have. We have added your request to our wishlist. We are not ready to provide you with any exact ETA on this point because of the predefined roadmap we have now. Our team will let you know if anything is changed on this point.

Feel free to contact us if any other questions arise.

Best regards,
Illia

Hello, Denis,

We are happy to inform you that now it is possible to set conditional formatting based on different aggregations.

This is available in the latest (v2.9.17) minor release version of Flexmonster.
You are welcome to update the component. Here is our updating to the latest version guide for assistance.

Please let us know if the new feature works well for you.
We are looking forward to your feedback.

Kind regards,
