Key Performance Indicators in flexmonster

Resolved
Vinothkanna asked on May 8, 2018

Can you please help me in setup of Key Performance Indicator(KPI) in flexmonster? Is there any demo video for it? we are using Microsoft Analysis Service as datasource.
In the below link, we have found that KPI supported from flexmonster version (2.2) but there is no more information regarding setup or how to show it in the UI like KPI browser.

Hello Vinothkanna,
Thank you for your question. Flexmonster component does not provide any tools for configuring KPI in MSAS. You need to set up and enable the KPIs on your MSAS cube: https://www.red-gate.com/simple-talk/sql/reporting-services/adding-a-kpi-to-an-sql-server-analysis-services-cube/. If everything is done correctly you will see the KPIs folder in Flexmonster's Field List.
Please let us know if there is anything else we can help you with.
Regards,
Dmytro

Hi Dmytro,
In KPI, There are multiple datas like value, goal, status, trend, weight. So when we browse the KPI in Sql Server Data tools it will show the data as show in the screen shot attached with this message.

So can you please provide me answers for the following questions related to KPI:

  1. what are all datas will flexmonster display?
  2. What are the trend indicators will it support?
  3. What are the status indicators will it support?

If there is any way to show all the data such as value, goal, status, trend, weight in KPI section of flexmonster. Please let me know how to do that.

Thanks & Regards

Hello, Vinothkanna,
Thanks for the quick update.
KPI section of Flexmonster is capable of showing value, goal, status and trend.
Please have a look at the following sample on JSFiddle: http://jsfiddle.net/ydu9z1x8/94/.
Here you can see different KPIs selected on the grid. Also, the sample shows how status and trend indicators look like.
I hope this clears things up. Please let me know if you need more information.
Regards,
Tanya
