Hello, Jessica,
Thank you for posting your question here!
To add or remove fields in drill-through please use Field List. This tool can be accessed by clicking the diagonal arrow in the upper right corner of the drill-through pop-up. Use it for adding or removing fields from the drill-through view without changing the slice for the grid.
Should you have any other questions - please let me know.
Regards,
Tanya

Is this configurable in the slice object or must it be manually added by the user? And if it cannot be configured, the additional fields must be added every time you drill through?

Hello Jessica,
Thank you for writing. The drill through view cannot be customized from the outside since it's main function is to go deeper into the current pivot's state. As a workaround, you can add the extra fields to the reportFilters area of the slice. In such case, you cannot affect grid's view and at the same time, the extra fields will be included in the drill through window - http://jsfiddle.net/flexmonster/rkprvhhs/265/
Please let us know if it works fine for you.
Regards,
Dmytro.

Dmytro, this information solved a big problem for us, thank you! Our next challenge is to be able to capture the changes in the details panel on closing. I don't see an event for that but assume there is some Flexmonster magic to support that. I would be grateful for a pointer.
Best,
Patrick

Hi Dmytro,

I withdraw this question as it can be handled just fine using the reportFilters ordering.
There is another function that would be helpful on the Details panel - that is a double-click event that will allow us to know data in the the selected row. The actual use for this is to further drill down to a single record. Although you do not hold the full record data in Flexmonster, if we kept a record key in the Details record, we could do something like go fetch a full record outside of Flexmonster slice to display or print. I hope that makes sense.
Regards,
Patrick

Hi Patrick!

Yes, that makes sense. We will add this feature to the wishlist. I hope will implement it in one of the future releases.

Thank you for a good idea.

Dmytro, this is a feature we would pay for if it would help accelerate it in your roadmap. Would you like to contact me outside the forum?
