Can I do a distinct count of non-numeric/integer/float fields? (e.g. distinct count of colors in your demo)

I would like to do a simple distinct count on a field. I can do this on numeric or float fields but I can’t seem to figure out how to do it on string fields.
Is this something that is possible?

Hi Roman. Thanks very much for the response. Yes, it’s much easier than I thought. It does however appear (to me) that it’s not working in the form of a calculated field.
As you can see in the video below, I was expecting the calculated field to yield the same result as the way you did it.
