Error pops up when access to translation files is denied

Answered
Ducarme Olivier asked on August 26, 2020

Hello flexmonster,
One of our clients tried to use the flexmonster-based functions of emasphere, but received a browser error before it could be displayed. The error has been identified and is certainly due to the fact that he is behind a proxy that doesn't allow the access to the translations json file.
We have two questions regarding this:

  • What is the best way to avoid this error for other clients in the same situation? We are thinking about embedding those json files into our application, or store them into our CDN. Is it feasible and would it be an issue ?
  • The error message received by the customer in that case mentions the support site of flexmonster (see attached picture). We would like to avoid that and instead redirect them to the support of EMAsphere. Is there a way to adapt this message ?

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Olivier

The error visible in the customer's browser. We don't have much more information at this time, but as he is the only one having this issue, we think about a connectivity problem like a very restrictive proxy.

Hello, Oliver,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We would like to explain that the error message indicates that a resource file (flexmonster.css or flexmonster.toolbar.js) failed to be found.
It is not possible to adapt the message content.

Our team would like to confirm that it is possible to download and embed the resource files into your application or store them in your CDN.
This should help to prevent such issues from reoccurring.

Please let us know if this helps. If further questions arise, please feel free to reach out.
Looking forward to your reply.

Kind regards,
Vera

Hi Vera,

Can I find some guidelines about how to move resource files to our CDN ?

Hello, Olivier,

Thank you for writing to us.

The required resource files can be downloaded from the following page.
They are stored within the flexmonster folder of the downloaded package (you can find it in the component/ directory or in the client/ directory – depending on the type of package that you downloaded).

Please let us know if it works for your case.
Our team is looking forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,
Illia
