How to hide a field from the view ?

Closed
Argillier asked on June 24, 2019

Hello,
I have a field in a MSAS cube that I use in the subquery to filter out the data fetched.
But, I would like this field to be hidden in the UI itself (end user not aware of this field).
I saw that there is mapping>visible for the elastic datasource but maybe I missed a way to do this same behaviour for a MSAS datasource.
Can you please help me on that ?
Thanks.

Hello,

Thank you for your question.

At the moment hiding a field from the view is supported for Elasticsearch data source only.

In order to hide certain fields, we advise checking the SSAS schema configuration and adding the necessary configuration to make the fields not visible.
This should be made on the SSAS side.

Please let us know if everything works and if you have further questions.

Best Regards,
Vera

Hello,

Thank you for your answer.

Ok I will see if and how it's possible to hide a field from SSAS schema configuration by still keeping it accessible from subquery.

If by any chance this "hide" feature can be added in a future release I'll be glad to hear it anyway.

Best regards.
