I installed the Linux version of the Flexmonster Data Server to access my MySQL tables via Flexmonster Pivot. The Data Server service is running on port 9500. There is another service listening on localhost:9555.
I can not find any information on how to access the Admin Panel. Is it the service at port 9555? Do I run a browser with http or https on this port? Why is this port limited to localhost? This would not work for me because the Linux machine is kind of a server and I have no browser on that machine. I had not in mind to install a proxy to access the Admin Panel.
Please give some advice on how to remote access the Admin Panel from outside the machine where the Data Server is running.
Thank you for writing to us.
Currently, Flexmonster Admin Panel can only connect to Flexmonster Data Server locally (through the 9555 port). Since Admin Panel doesn’t support connecting to a remote Flexmonster Data Server instance, it needs to be installed on the same machine as Flexmonster Data Server.
For your case, you can use Flexmonster Data Server as a console application – this approach does not require Flexmonster Admin Panel (the GUI tool).
The console application is available in the Flexmonster Data Server download package. See the following guide for more details: https://www.flexmonster.com/doc/install-data-server-as-console-app/.
You can configure the connection to your MySQL database in the configuration file (
"flexmonster-config.json"). Here is a tutorial for guidance: https://www.flexmonster.com/doc/configurations-reference/.
Please let us know if this helps.
