problem with commas in columns of MySQL tables

Closed
Eric Malalel asked on October 16, 2019

I have multiple text columns in my MySQL tables and some of them can contain values with commas.
I use the FLexMonster compressor to load the ocsv file from these MySQL Tables into the FlexMonster component.
The displayed result is wrong, because it sounds like the ocsv file is considered by the FlexMonster component to have columns separated by commas.
I think you should be able to test with the attached files:

  1. report.json: the report file used
  2. data report json user.txt : the data I get using this report file
  3. data report json user.xlsx : same data in excel, with lines 130, 131 and 132 highlighted, since they have commas in the "Séquence" column and Excel has also problems with it

I use latest version of FlexMonster.
Please advise quickly, the end user is waiting for these statistics.

Also, my end user says it was working before, so it may be related to a regression in latest version of FLexmonster I installed recently, and since then, there is this bug.

Hello Eric,

Thank you for the details and giving us some time to investigate the issue.
We have found a bug in the latest updates we made for the Data Compressor.
I am attaching the "hot-fixed" version of the PHP Data Compressor.
The official version will be released in the next minor release (ETA Oct 21).

Please test and let us know if it works well.

Regards,
Ian

Hello Ian,
I updated the compressor.
The problem with commas is fixed, but calculations are wrong.
I attach the same files as previously:

  1. report.json: the report file used
  2. data report json user.txt : the data I get using this report file
  3. data report json user.xlsx : same data in excel, with a cross tab report which is correct, total time is 69:12:01

With FlexMonster crosstab report, I get a total of 0:00:34.

Eric,

Thank you for testing.
We see the issue and made one more ad-hoc fix.
Please download it from the attachments.

Hope it will work well now.
