PLEASE NOTE: Since we update Flexmonster Pivot with new features biweekly, the information might become outdated. Please check our latest news.
Along with our minor releases that come every 2 weeks as the improvements to 2.2 version, our team is also working non-stop on the new major release. The work on 2.3 version is already underway and we think it would be fair to share our plans with you.
The direction we chose is based on our customers requests, support cases that we have received and also the new trends on the analytics market today.
Сertainly, it’s just a small part of all improvements that will be included in 2.3. release but still the noteworthy ones.
New features in 2.3 version are coming this autumn:
The wide variety of charts is already represented in our Component. You can always use popular chart formats such as bar, line, scatter, pie, bar stack and bar line for your reports. However, we also took into consideration that sometimes our clients need extended possibilities to make their data visualization more specific. That is why we will make the easy integration samples with any 3rd party charting libraries that you may want to use.
The diversity of JS frameworks is huge and sometimes the various difficulties with Flexmonster Pivot compatibility arise. We will identify and eliminate all lacks and will give the examples of how to integrate our Component into your App using the most popular JS libraries that you prefer.
One of the primary benefits of the Component is ability to be used on multiple platforms. Lots of our clients develop mobile apps using Flexmonster Component. So in this release we decided to focus on improving the usability of mobile interface and refining some UI controls.
It is one of the most requested features by our customers. You will be able to group the chosen elements that will noticeably facilitate the visual perception of your reports.
This feature is successfully represented in Flexmonster Pivot for CSV format files. In new 2.3 release we will add this feature for OLAP Cubes users. TopX function allows you to define a filter to show the TopX items from the selected measure. Depending on your goals it will show either the highest or the lowest values.
While we continue working on all these improvements you can always download and try our current version.
